On May 28th, Nacional Records will release the new album from Natalia Clavier (long-time vocalist of Thievery Corporation). The album was produced by Grammy-winning producer Adrian Quesada (Ocote Soul Sounds, Grupo Fantasma, Brownout).
Here is a sneak peak of Natalia Claviers’ New album ‘Lumen’.
With a sultry mix of jazz/soul-inspired vocals in both English and Spanish, electronic textures and global influences, ‘Lumen’ further develops the sound Natalia Clavier cultivated while recording and touring with both Thievery Corporation and her husband, Argentinean singer-songwriter Federico Aubele. Natalia Clavier was ESL Music’s first female artist and the touring vocalist for Thievery Corporation, giving her opportunities to tour the globe performing at the world’s largest festival stages.
In their album review of ‘Será’, NPR writes, “La Vida Boheme has done well in establishing itself — not as a rock band, not as an alternative band, not as a punk band, but as a band that does whatever it pleases… La Vida Boheme has followed in the footsteps of the legendary Mexican group Cafe Tacuba: It’s taken Latin rock and made it Latin again. Musically, lyrically and thematically.“
‘Será’ is the follow-up to their critically-acclaimed debut ‘Nuestra’ which was nominated for a Grammy and two Latin Grammy’s, not to mention winning iTunes ‘Latin Breakthrough Artist of the Year’ and being voted as finalists by fans across the World in MTV Iggy’s ‘Best New Band in the World’ contest.
They also won the MTV Game Award for “Best Song in a Video Game” for their track “Buen Salvaje” from EA Sports’ smash hit FIFA ‘12, beating out competition from fellow nominees Skrillex, Korn and the Deftones.
