Gets Grammy Nomination for
Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album

Los Amigos Invisibles’ ‘Repeat After Me’ has been nominated for a Grammy for ‘Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album.’  This is the band’s third career Grammy nomination, and second in a row with Nacional Records.

The band was nominated earlier this year for two Latin Grammy’s, including “Song of the Year” (‘La Que Me Gusta’) and “Best Recording Package” (‘Repeat After Me’). That was the band’s third Latin Grammy nominated album in a row with Nacional Records, after their two previous releases ‘Commercial’ and ‘Not So Commercial’ were also nominated.  Los Amigos Invisibles won a Latin Grammy for ‘Commercial’ and was nominated for a Grammy for ‘Not So Commercial.’

Repeat After Me debuted Top 10 on the Billboard Latin Pop charts, while the video for their nominated song “La Que Me Gusta” debuted on Entertainment Tonight. The song is also featured in a new Yoplait television ad campaign.

Los Amigos Invisibles are amongst the hardest working bands in the music. Having toured over 60 countries, the NY-based Venezuelan funk combo has been able to maintain and untouchable reputation for both their meticulously crafted albums and stunning live performances including sets at Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.

Since their first album in 1995, Los Amigos Invisibles have developed a sound based on the gozadera, an irresistible fusion of Latin rhythms with fiery funk and lounge music. The band got their first break when David Byrne discovered one of their albums by chance in a Manhattan record shop.

Los Amigos Invisibles emanate pure groove … walking bass lines,  percolating percussion, scratchy guitar and relentless drums of a band that knows no difference between arty fun and sensual fire” – ROLLING STONE
