Nacional Records is looking for Fall interns to work at our North Hollywood offices. Home to Grammy-winning and iconic artists like Manu Chao, Ana Tijoux, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Aterciopelados and Nortec Collective, the company is a division of Cookman International, which also also organizes the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC), an annual event in NYC that brings together the biggest names in rock, hip-hop and electronic music from across the Americas.
Nacional is looking for motivated and ambitious interns interested in working hard and learning about the entertainment industry. This is a great opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in music publicity, artist management, event production, tour marketing and radio promotion. Although a lot of our artists are from Latin America, most of their fanbases are English-speaking, and the media we deal with include Rolling Stone, LA Times, KCRW, and MTV.
Interns are expected to be available in our North Hollywood office at least 10 hrs/week and can receive academic credit. Spanish-language skills are a plus, though not required.
Some of the exciting intern responsibilities include:
- Assisting with publicity and production for the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC).
- Contributing suggestions and ideas for projects or improvements.
- Represent Nacional at events and distribute materials such as iTunes cards, posters and flyers.
- Develop Street Teams by recruiting members, creating and maintaining relationships and communication with members.
